Baltimore Curriculum Project Highlights the Direct Instruction Podcast – Education Rickshaw

This month marked the launch of an exciting new podcast series sponsored by the National Institute for Direct Instruction (NIFDI), aimed at providing invaluable insights into the world of Direct Instruction (DI). Hosted by esteemed educator and parent, Dr. Zach Groshell, this series promises to be a beacon of knowledge for educators, parents, and anyone interested in evidence-based teaching methods.

The podcast offers listeners a comprehensive understanding of DI, its historical significance, theoretical foundations, and practical applications in today’s classrooms. Baltimore Curriculum Project (BCP) pioneered the use of DI as an alternative curriculum for Baltimore City Public Schools in 1996. DI has been at the forefront of educational discourse for decades. Dr. Groshell and the podcast explore various facets of DI, shedding light on its principles, methodologies, and unparalleled success in improving student outcomes, including Project Follow Through.
